AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Last night, I had a symbolic dream whose exact meaning I couldn’t decipher. In front of me were two huts, completely covered in dust. Even the utensils inside the huts were dusty. From one of the huts, a woman came out and said, “I’ll serve food; eat it.” 👵🏻🛖⛳📱[…]

Seeing all the dust, I refused. Then I went to a property dealer where we were three partners. He said, “It’s coming at a very cheap rate; take it.” One partner refused, but my uncle and I decided to buy the 800 by 200 land for 3 lakh 10 thousand. After that, I happily went home, and the weather turned rainy. My aunt served food to my younger brother and me.

At that moment, I received a message from my wife containing nude photos. While I was on my phone, my brother ate my food. I felt angry for a second, thinking the food was finished, but I eventually got food at home. Then it rained, and I found myself in a green garden with plants where 3-4 new plants grew and became big. Suddenly, a goat came and tried to eat those plants, but I didn’t let it and drove it out of the garden and then back home.

It is a dream in the lower vital world, which is the centre where food, sex, etc originate. There is an attack there at the Mooladhar with greed (goat) for food, money (property) and sex (nude photos) come up. You seem to have tackled them quite well by Her Grace.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

This has been answered by Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Krishna in the Gita and elaborated in great length by Sri Aurobindo through numerous letters as well in The Synthesis of Yoga. Yes, it is my general observation that the present generation, for all its other difficulties, is more open towards the spiritual life. It believes in vertical progress and evolution and a seeking after higher states and greater possibilities is a natural urge in it. At first glance, French statesman General Charles de Gaulle and Indian mystic Sri Aurobindo seem like an unlikely pair, yet both shared a profound, almost spiritual devotion to their nations’ destinies. 🗺️😊🙏🏻🌼[…]

Thanks for the interesting parallels between the spiritual nationalism of Sri Aurobindo and Charles de Gaul. Sri Aurobindo did regard him as a divine instrument in the Second World War. Of course subsequently Sri Aurobindo went much farther and deeper than the patriotic love and the prophet of  nationalism, and became the lover of …
