AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

Most early devotional movements seem to be emotional-vital surges rather than true bhakti. ❤️🙏🏻🌼

Difficult to generalise. The vital-emotional surges may spring from the soul because the emptional centre is near the psychic. There are beautiful psychic movements that one finds in a number of medieval saints all over the world, from Augustine and Sufis to the Andals, not to speak of Tulsidas, Rahim, Mirabai and a number of others. Of course it is mixed with vital-emotional elements that is often impure and still seeking the Divine for oneself, for Mukti or release from the world rather than serve the Divine like Hanuman or have complete faith and surrender like Arjun but then such a bhakta is very rare in all ages.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
