AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

My deepest aspiration is to grow inwards and my current job gives me ample time for spiritual life. But I don’t find it interesting. I am interested in research in Physics (Astronomy, Astrophysics, High Energy Physics)πŸ›°οΈ and would like to apply for those jobs. πŸ”[…]

But I am not sure if it’s just an initial attraction and that job will also feel like drudgery in the future. And I won’t find enough time to spend thinking about my inner life. So should I try to find joy in my current job itself by connecting it to God, or change to another field which I like. 🀨

No doubt one should try to find joy in whatever one is doing. Even the most mechanical activity can be turned into a feeder for the flame of aspiration. At the same time do engage in Astrophysics and the subjects to which you are drawn to. I am not sure if it will be easy to switch your job to a completely new field. But if time and circumstances allow and opportunity comes your way it is certainly better to follow your inner calling.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
