No likelihood of World War 3 for a number of reasons. World War becomes possible when either a gigantic ambition or a hardcore fanatic ideology drives a nation. That has not yet come into play as of now. It is true that political Islam and Marxist Communism come close to such an ideology, but the balance of powers in the world today will not allow it. What is possible is a small-scale nuclear engagements, as I had mentioned earlier as well. That has already begun, though in strange ways wherein the nuclear arsenal are being targeted.
In any case, we should always be full of hope and never allow either fear or morbid possibilities to take hold of our thoughts and imaginations. This way, at least we would do what little we can from our side.
