AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Regarding your explanation of The Odyssey, “The one-eyed monsters represent narrowness that tries to destroy the spiritual possibility in us. One can avoid the danger by hiding the aspiration and not exposing oneself too much in the open.” 👹⛵📖🌼[…]

Could you please elaborate on what is meant by “hiding the aspiration” and “not exposing oneself too much in the open”? Is there a deeper psychological or occult significance behind this? I also recall hearing in one of your talks about the symbolism in Baglamukhi; I feel some connections with this. Am I remembering correctly?

It means that generally we should not speak about our spiritual experiences or show off our capacities. Instead, we should place them quietly in the service of the Divine.

The Bagalamukhi power of the Mother restrains us from unwanted lower vital activities.

Affectionately,

Alok
