You can surely watch movies as long they become an all absorbing addiction that disturbs other fields of activities. Among what could be watched, well anything is fine provided there is in it truth and beauty, and does not harm or twist our consciousness. Movies that instill hope and courage, stories of bravery and human goodness, humour that is intelligent, witty and subtle, love that breathes beauty and sacrifice, tales of valour and heroism, well made historical narratives, movies that showcase new ideas are good. What is however harmful are horror films, crime thrillers, crudity and vulgarity or emotions and speech, typical sentimental dramas. However there is a state in which one can watch anything and remain unaffected and learn something about human nature provided the discerning mind rather the vital is engaged in it.
Affectionately,
