AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Sir, the popular bhakti song ‘Shokoli tomari iccha….tomar kormo tumi koro ma, loke bole kori ami’, which you often mention, was sung by Pannalal Bhattacharya. He was a legendary Shyama Sangeet singer. Dwijendralal Roy was mainly associated with patriotic songs. One of his famous songs is ‘ Dhono dhanye puspe bhora’. 🎼😊🙏🏻🌼🎶

Yes, as a child I was quite fond of Pannalal ji. Actually, I was referring to the writer, not the singer. Maybe you could let me know the author of the song.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
