AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

What is death and how do we feel after death?๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿค๐Ÿ‘ผ๐ŸŒˆ

Death is simply going from one school to another with new teachers, new environment, new books to read and learn. But just as there is a little time lapse when one shifts from one school to another so also there is a little time-lapse when one moves from one life to another. This period of transition or movement from one life to another or shifting from one place to another is called death.

It is death in the sense that one slowly loses contact with the previous school friends and gains new ones. It is a learning and growth.

What does one experience after death depends partly on how one dies. If one dies through self-harm then the experience can be most horrible. But if one dies remembering God then it is most beautiful. Generally however the experience is like waking up in a dream after one has gone off to sleep, a little disorienting but then a new orientation and finally a beautiful meeting with God and resting for a while in Her lap.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Asking the Divine for too many things seems selfish and at the same time if i make a promise to myself that i will not ask unnecessary things and face difficulties myself seems not the right thing to do. Pranam Sir. I want to ask about how to deal with negative anticipations, thoughts, and expectations in our daily life. One of my colleagues always targeting me and quarreling with me over each minor issue or mistake and even insults me in front of juniors. He is visually challenged. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ[…]

The best way is to completely ignore him, and if you cannot do so then remain inwardly totally indifferent to him. The best response to people who are hypercritical is complete indifference. The more you try to explain, the more they justify. The more you concede, the more they increase the criticism. But indifference completely flattens them…

What does the chant “OM SHANTI” truly signifyโ€”is peace merely the repetition of a sacred word, or a state to be deeply imbibed within the heart? We often define peace simply as the absence of external conflict, agitation, or turbulence, but this surface calmness is only temporary and amounts to nothing more than restraining turbulent emotions. What, then, constitutes real, unshakable inner peace, and how can one truly attain and sustain it? ๐Ÿ•‰๏ธ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

Peace is not an absence of disturbance. Even inertia is free from disturbance. Peace is something positive and powerful, a fundamental foundational status of the Divine, seemingly equal and non-reactive like Shiva bearing and upholding the dance of Kali upon his chest or the ocean holding its tremendous energy by its own power of self-limitation. maryada. It is a state of concentrated ingatheredness like the mountains or a vast Silence …
