What is difference between self defence and Hinsa (violence) 👊?

Violence is an inner state composed of the will to injure or wilfully hurt including verbally or emotionally. Self defense is an outer act. It may or may not stem from a consciousness of violence or violence may be added later on. Sign of violence is anger and the action is no more limited to defend oneself but goes on, under the impulse of anger, to take revenge.
