AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

what is the future for India China relations? We are so different and yet have the history of invasions and oppression ; and are 2 great civilisations. Should we be enthusiastic about the recent news about the meeting between the two leaders? What was Sri Aurobindo’s and Mother’s vision of China?

The Mother and Sri Aurobindo both foresaw the danger from Communist China which cannot be ignored as long as Tibet and Aksai Chin are controlled by them. I suppose Indian government is fully aware of it. At the same time Sri Aurobindo also foresaw the rise of Asia and it would imply the coming together of the three Asian powers Russia, China, India together. A divided house cannot rise. Besides it is better to make friends with the enemy while yet keeping a vigil than remain sworn enemies. Sri Aurobindo has also foreseen the downfall of Europe and all that is happening right now is pushing towards that.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
