AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

While having a conversation with my physical mother, she told me an interesting thing that I also related to my childhood. She told me that when I was in her womb, she used to hear the hissing of snakes often, and as far as I remember, in my childhood till around age 20, I had many dreams of snakes. 🐍📖 […]

Like, going to see a water tank and it is full of snakes, sometimes snakes with one body, 2 head, such things and since snakes are associated with ominous things, I felt like sharing this with you and quenching my curiosity regarding it.

At my 21st birthday I gifted myself my very first book of Sri Aurobindo “The Hour of God” and as I got my next book “The Synthesis of Yoga”, it felt like this is what I was finding for past 3 years, whole understanding about life and everything changed, especially the second one seemed magical I don’t know what happened after I started reading the Synthesis and at 21 I decided to walk the path of Integral Yoga. Now, from this point onward in my life, such dreams have reduced significantly, almost vanished, even though I have seen only one snake dream like that, which I shared with you last time; whereas, as per my description, you told me it seems like a Kaalsarp.

What does this symbolize, since my physical mother listened to the hissing of snakes while I was in her womb? Was I associated with some bad energies even before I was born? What indications does it give regarding my past life?

It is not necessarily bad energies. Snakes also represent evolutionary forces that chase us until we take the needed leap. Whatever it be, they have done their purpose by pushing you towards Sri Aurobindo. Hence, they have disappeared.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

What is real happiness, and where do Sri Aurobindo and The Mother truly want to lead us through Integral Yoga? I struggle to understand why dishonest, unspiritual people often thrive effortlessly with wealth, fame, and societal respect, while an honest devotee is consumed by domestic conflicts, illness, self-doubt, and constant hardship. 🧭💛[…]

First of all this is an overgeneralised statement. Most alcoholics and people who are engaged in crime are not happy. They are in great distress inwardly. They may have outer amenities, may achieve quick money but these things are not synonymous with success or happiness. These methods bring you money, and with this money you …

I don’t know if my question is valid or not, but I am still asking: all souls (potentially an infinite number of souls), when all combined together, have emerged from an infinitesimal portion of the Divine Mother? ✨🌱

All souls have emerged from the Divine and since the Divine is Infinite the number of souls are also potentially countless. But this emergence is not at a given point of Time. It is a constant ongoing process creating a hierarchy of old and new souls in creation.
