Yes, certainly. As the Mother put it, ‘there is a divine recompense for every struggle and suffering.’ Generally this recompense is in the form of an evolutionary leap. Savitri calls is as ‘digging a tunnel through emergency.’ Here are few lines from Savitri that reveal this subtle but profound truth.
‘He saw in Night the Eternal’s shadowy veil,
Knew death for a cellar of the house of life,
In destruction felt creation’s hasty pace,
Knew loss as the price of a celestial gain
And hell as a short cut to heaven’s gates.’
Of course in this particular instance we are not told as to what was her past and the future. We see only a little fragment and since the unfolding is hidden from us, our heart naturally reacts with pity and pain. But there is always a divine recompense and in fact, it is the soul that choses this passage, this difficult destiny that the surface mind abhors, to take a leap.
