Remembering your insight that the Divine Mother does not simply hold casual conversations, I usually attribute these lighter, unbidden words to the psychic consciousness rather than directly to Her voice. How should one understand such inner voices and words associated with yogic experiences? I would love your guidance on cultivating true psychic tact and discernment in this regard.
It is quite true that one should be careful and cautious with regard to suggestions and inner voices, as they are often mixed with the ego and sometimes dangerous and misleading. A better way is to focus on the Divine Presence within the depths of the heart. The sign of the Divine Presence and the true progress is the growth of inner Peace, quiet Joy, faith in the Divine, love for the Divine, the ability to discern between truth and falsehood, the aspiration for Truth and Light, the inclination towards Beauty and Good. If the inner guidance is leading in this direction, especially the growth of peace and joy within, then it is likely coming from the true source. But whatever aggrandises the ego or flatters oneself or builds a feeling of gloom and sadness, condemning and criticising must be quickly rejected as it is certainly the voice of the adversary.
The more the mind grows quiet, the better the Guidance emerges.
Affectionately,
Alok da
