Our vision is blocked due to the veil of ignorance. Hence we see wrongly, think wrongly, misunderstand things and, as a consequence, suffer needlessly.
Through yoga we can remove the veil, recover our vision and rectify our understanding.

Cobra represents the urge to evolve or the beginning of the evolutionary process. It is obviously a good sign. Snakes in general represent fear, fears of various kinds that stand in the way of evolution.
Absolutely true. I look upon it as trying to bribe the gods which is so absurd. A true god is much more happy when we imbibe the qualities he represents rather than by these external worships. In fact the very purpose of worship is to grow in the qualities and consciousness of the worshipped rather than turn it into a ritual act of seeking favours.
