AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

You have said: “As an individual, we should be careful about which side of the conflict we stand… ” Can you please explain what you mean in more detail? ⚖️🧭

The world often presents the picture of various kinds of conflict, some of which take a fiercer form and larger dimensions. One option is to stay away and be neutral and indifferent while staying focused on one’s goal, moving towards it steadily until one is out of the zone of all conflicts and discovers the secret truth behind mutual oppositions that are reconciled in a greater, larger, vaster truth. This is the way of the seeker of knowledge who seeks liberation by going beyond the sphere of action.

However, most of humanity is action-oriented. Even if they are not and cannot participate physically in a conflict, yet people participate in a conflict intellectually, emotionally and, if possible, spiritually. This is especially true of those who are emotionally inclined or action-oriented. Here one must be clear about the choice of the side being taken. For this, one must be free from all mental conceptions and emotional reactions and try to feel the Divine Will behind the events.

Thus, for example, the Divine Will was for a unified India when the Cripps proposal came. But the then Indian Congress rejected it and the ambitions of Jinnah and the shortsightedness of Congressmen led to the division of the country that still bleeds. There are several examples of short-sighted virtuosity of human beings that led to so much subsequent pain and suffering in the aftermath.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

But then why does The Mother say, “Get rid of violence and you will be free from fear”? In their case, isn’t it the opposite: that violence stems from fear, so fear must be cured to cure violence? I am a little confused here, sorry. 🕊️🌿 […]

Violence and fear are closely interconnected. In psychology we call it anger and fear. Fear (and its cousin depression) stems from anger turned towards oneself. When anger is turned outwards it gives rise to violence. When it (anger) is turned inwards, towards oneself, it takes the form of fear. Basically it is the same energy. We can take a few …

Last night, I had another dream. A person was with me, and there was a snake coiled up asleep; I am not entirely certain, but it seemed to have golden dots on it. The person told me to kill the snake. I asked, “It is sleeping peacefully; what is the point of killing it?” They insisted I kill it anyway. 🐍🐘🦚 […]

es all these dreams and impressions rise because of you are open to the occult and inner dimension. It is a kind of capacity that some have.

It is clearer now. I didn’t know that vital love could also be considered great. I have not watched the Odyssey yet. However, after listening to your talk, I watched Troy (2004) out of curiosity. The way the relationships were portrayed felt very vital, except for Hector’s and his wife’s relationship.❤️📖 […]

Ram and Sita, Krishna and Radha or for that matter Arundhati and Vasistha, Anusooya and Atri, even Mandodari the wife of Ravana are unparalleled in the example of ideal love they have placed before us. I am completely in sync with the thought that Indian characters are uncomparable in their spiritual greatness and idealism. …
