AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

In Savitri, Book 11, when Mother Savitri asks Supreme for a boon for the earth, why does Supreme ask her to merge into him, when he has created the universe and one day it has to become divine?🕊️🤍📜♾️

It is because though She is the Divine Mother, She has descended here for the human lila. She is not asking anything for herself but for earth and man. Hence all alternate possibilities must be exhausted before the supreme consummation is allowed. What She asks there will become the template for the future aspiration of mankind hence the full range of evolutionary possibilities must be exhausted.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Dear Alok da, thank you—the lines from Sri Aurobindo in your email helped immensely, and while old holds haven’t entirely left, they feel looser. I find myself happier in solitude, as outer interactions easily muddle my poise, while an intense inner longing to remain anchored to the Mother, Sri Aurobindo, and Sri Krishna continues to grow. 👩‍👧🕊️🙏🏼[…]
