AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

As Neet PG results are out, I am confused about which speciality i should choose. I asked Maa to guide me towards the path that will bring me closer to her, I have this fear that hectic, demanding specialities might distract me, take me away from her as I have similar experience in the preparation phase of this exam.πŸ’πŸŒœπŸ’€πŸ˜΄

Yesterday night I had a dream – I was in a hospital which was above Sri Aurobindo ashram building, i was taking history in a paediatric ward. As I came down , I saw a garden in front of the building, Maa was standing under a tree at its centre . Strangely i walked away from her and stood under another tree. A cobra suddenly appeared out of nowhere and it started chasing me i ran in opposite direction and i fell down when I looked up , I saw Maa standing beside me then i turned my head to look for the snake that was chasing me and it was just inches away from my face I was so terrified and then Maa said Don’t be afraid and suddenly this snake got transformed into a rope and wrapped around me.

Could you please help me understand the meaning of this dream ?? Is it paediatric that I should go for ?? Should I choose whichever speciality I like and should not hold any fear ?? Why even after knowing Maa is with me I have these fears and anxieties ?? Why didn’t Maa directly tell me which speciality I should choose ??Β

She has told you very directly. It means surrender yourself to Her, work for Her and do whatever you are doing as Her Service. The cobra is the serpent of evolution that is chasing and compelling you to give yourself to the Mother with whom you have your destiny.

Take paediatrics if it interests you. Take it up as a means to prepare yourself for Her service. She is watching over you and will draw you near Her when the time comes.

Have no fears about the future. She is with you. Just remain open and turned towards Her.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Dada, there is a professor at IISC who is a sadhaka in the sampradaya of Madhvacharya, and he says that, according to him, the way to find your Swadharma is to do what you can persistently despite failure. I want to ask, is this a good way of practically knowing, or is it too reductionist? And according to you, what can be the best practical way for a young child?πŸ§’πŸ“šβœ¨πŸŒ±

That is one way of looking at it. But a slightly negative and outer way of looking at it. There are plenty of things we do which do not involve success or failure. We do it because we find a natural joy in it. This spontaneous joy …

Is drinking small quantities of alcohol really that bad? Most people I know consume alcohol in some measure. I noticed that the ones who quit it completely face backlash from Society. For example, I heard business people say that you can’t trust a person who doesn’t drink. πŸ₯‚πŸ’¬πŸΈπŸŽΆ[…]

It is not a question of good or bad from a moral point of view. But drinking alcohol is certainly harmful for the physical, as well as psychological and I would even say spiritual health. The list of physical problems is too long and generally too well known to elucidate. …

Yesterday suddenly realised during my prayer with my mother that the seat of the Psychic Being is Highar Vital, in the Hridaya Chakra. Initially, I feel Peace, Bliss and Delight up to the Vishudhi Centre. Suddenly realised that my heart has received The Mother’s Peace and is spreading to all the centre of my all the inner parts and similar to the mother light also. Suddenly feel that the heart centre is doing everything. Alok da, is our Sadhana going in the right direction? Please guide me. πŸͺ·βœ¨πŸ’–πŸ•―️

Yes absolutely, the psychic being is behind the heart centre and when open and in the front then all becomes easy and natural.Β
Your prayer is a beautiful psychic prayer and the yoga going in the right direction.
