There is no doubt a hereditary element that does enter into the formation of traits, especially of outer personality and behavioral tendencies. This is partly genetic and partly because of learning as we grow in physical proximity to parents. However it is not something that cannot be overpassed by the application of will and faith and opening to the Divine Grace. Especially as we begin to grow conscious of and live in the inner being, the more our true personality, often independent of heredity begins to emerge.
