AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Sir, the more I read different philosophies and scriptures, the more confused I become. In my pursuit of knowledge, I feel that I truly know nothing at all. My mind is filled only with opinions, ideas, and imaginations, and they all seem like mere garbage. The only true thing I possess is faith—faith in my heart. The only wealth in my life is my faith: the Mother, her name, her image, her love, and Sri Aurobindo’s Grace.📜✨🕊️📚

These alone make my life worth living; without them, there would be nothing left but an animal existence.

The heart has its faith, love, and adoration for the Beloved—but what about the mind? It should not be left alone; the mind too must have its share of delight. Please explain how this can be achieved, because I cannot satisfy my intellect and mind, and I am feeling helpless.

Guard your faith and love for Sri Aurobindo and the Mother as a priceless treasure. It is the key to all else including knowledge. It is rare to find knowledge by reading books. Their role, at best is to prepare us. True Knowledge comes only by the Divine Grace. So seek, aspire for it, surrendering your aspiration at Her Feet.

As to books, yes, too many books only create more confusion due to their angle of vision.  Read Savitri and The Life Divine. You will find there all that you want to know.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
