AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Probably 4-5 years ago, I had read a book named ‘Immortal Talks’ by an author named Shunya. Last time I checked, the author hadn’t revealed their identity. So the book is about Hanuman and how He imparts the ultimate knowledge to this particular tribe of people every 40 years and the story revolves around it. You can call its genre fiction. As I read that, I felt such a deep connection with Hanuman. ๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿน๐Ÿ›•๐ŸŒ„๐ŸŒป[…]

I’ve never heard about that place, particularly in my life, nor knew anything about it. Later I googled and I gotta know there’s a Kodanda Rama Temple there where the legend says Sri Rama, Lakshmana and Sita Mata have visited that place. I’ve been wanting to visit that place. And I will. What do I make of this?ย I’ve had several dreams too, but one amongst them was that I was walking in the water, probably a lake, where the water was ankle length and the place name came to me, ‘Chunchanakatte’.

It is not a dream but a real contact with the ever-living legendary Hanuman, who continues to help the simple-hearted devotees upon earth to turn towards dharma.ย

Affectionately,

Alok Da

A few months ago, I felt my practice of Integral Yoga had become overly mental and habitualโ€”gathering concepts rather than living the sadhanaโ€”so I stepped away and followed a structured traditional discipline involving mantra-japa. ๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ[…]

The sadhana once begun never really stops. Yes one encounters temporary halts, – almost everyone goes through these phases, but that is because we need to assimilate the gains of the sadhana. Often our outer nature may not even recognise. Yet one has received something but more is not coming in either because the container is small …

Dear Alok da, thank youโ€”the lines from Sri Aurobindo in your email helped immensely, and while old holds haven’t entirely left, they feel looser. I find myself happier in solitude, as outer interactions easily muddle my poise, while an intense inner longing to remain anchored to the Mother, Sri Aurobindo, and Sri Krishna continues to grow. ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ[…]
