AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Many times in your talk, when you  were mentioning about the other yogas, and their teachers, and it’s goal, you constantly put the adjective  “selfish ”  since they thought only of individual Moksha…🔄⛓️‍💥🕊️🌌

That remarks really hurt me and also many who are attracted to SriAurobindo and The Mother, but coming from different streams of yoga under different Sadgurus, Because I have seen with my own eyes, with my own experiences, the tremendous  sacrifices, my  Srimathe  has  done  for uplifting their fallen disciples, In my case specially, I know  how Swamiji, moulded me  from utter dirty, filthy,  materialistic nature to some Divine understanding.

Since their work on earth is not explicitly Transformation yoga or Supramental yoga, (May be even they may have that idea, I don’t know, ) outwardly their yoga was not

meant for  New creation, they did what was meant to  be done by Them. That doesn’t mean They’re Selfish. That’s The worst title, one can give Them. So everytime when I hear you using this adjective, I felt like  quiting The integral yoga immdiately,  But thank God, SriAurobindo and The Mother slowly made me understand the Truth in a Sweet way.

SriAurobindo might have used the same phrase “Selfish “in His writings,  but hardly people  take a serious note of it, still His way of  addressing  it from the greatest height may have altogether a different meaning, Whereas your talks go all over the world within no time, and easily catch people, labelling other true yogis as “Selfish’

So my request to you is , Please avoid that particular phrase, but elaborate as much as   possible about  the  greatness  and the highest blessedness of human life on earth by  Integral yoga, following SriAurobindo and The Mother. I am very very happy to hear that glory, without demeaning any true yogi.

First of all my apologies if you felt hurt by my statements. But let me explain that i have never demeaned a true yogi. Besides this much is natural to all who come from the background of Sanatana Dharma that each has a right to his path and to chose their goal.

My problem is with those ‘seekers’ who seek mukti as a door of escape from this world simply because it is challenging. My problem is also with the teachers who proclaim that freedom from the cycle of rebirth is the ‘only’ possible goal and preach the world is an illusion. My problem is when Sannyas and Sanjyasis are placed before us as the national ideal and men like Gandhi called as the father of the Nation.

You spoke about many people getting hurt because i speak of individual Moksha as selfish. Have you thought how we hurt the soul of Mother India by forgetting the great teachings of Sri Krishna while turning the youth towards Mayavada? Should one do a disservice to Truth simply because it might hurt people? Let those who want to follow Sannyas and Mayavada do that, – its their choice. But I have come here to speak about the word of Sri Krishna and Sri Aurobindo. It is extremely painful to see the kind of Illusionism and reverence for the Sannyasi in this once mighty Bharatvarsha where great yogis like Raghu and Ramchandra, Hanuman and Jambvant, Krishna and Arjuna, Bheesma, Ajatshatru and Janak once reigned. Why did we fall to the Mohammadans? Because for all their narrowness and fanaticism they went around the world to conquer it for God proclaiming that everything belongs to God. Of course they reduced their God to a limited name and form who was intolerant of all other paths, hence they are destined to pass away. But while they were conquering the world in the name of God we, as a race were busy renouncing the world as a snare! Until men like Shiva ji and Guru Gobind Singh rose up as instruments of Bhavani. We worship the Divine Mother but only to seek selfish aims even in spiritual life. This is my anguish. I am not sure if you or anyone will understand a god’s anguish born out of love for Bharat, for humanity and for the Mother. But She knows my heart and intent. It is Her Work and She puts Her seal upon it. The rest hardly matters.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Dada, how to stop thinking? I mean, continuous thoughts are coming and going regarding useless things. Sri Aurobindo has said we have to watch thoughts and not attach any importance to them, but how should we do that? Or how to calm our minds and think about our Master’s only?🌊🌪️🤯🍃🧠

While stopping of thoughts completely is not an easy thing, it is very much possible to direct the flow consciously towards an object. Thus, you can consciously let your thoughts run around the idea of God, or of a Divine…

Kindly let me know if the understanding below is incorrect: As SAT, CHIT, and ANANDA are the 3 aspects of PARABRAHMAN, meant for the manifestation in our universe, so are the infinite other aspects of PARABRAHMAN meant for the manifestation in many other universes. And that is how millions of universes, of different kinds, have been created by the Divine.🕉️🌌✨👁️

Sat, Chit-tapas, Ananda are the three principle aspects. All other aspects such as Peace, Wisdom, Knowledge, Compassion, Strength, Beauty, Harmony, Love are derived from these four fundamental aspects of the One Infinite. Each…
