AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I read in auromaa about the Divine – “Make Him your friend 🥰, your permanent friend and partner of life and see how all loneliness will go”. My question – Does this truth requires a certain spiritual preparation? Because I don’t feel it in my present condition?

It is not a question of feeling but of taking a certain attitude, of a kind of relation one seeks to form with the Divine by turning our emotions towards Him as one would to a friend. Initially it is an attitude and an approach that one cultivates. Later the experience comes. If one already feels the Divine as friend then obviously nothing is needed except for strengthening the bond of friendship by sharing more and more. It is when one does not yet feel so that effort is needed to forge a living bond of friendship with the Divine. This is done by thinking of Him as one would of a dear friend, wanting His company, baring oneself to Him by telling Him all that is happening within and without and, by turning to Him in all one’s needs.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Certainly the Hindus knew the various means of purifying the mind and intelligence and, during the heydays of ancient India, the Vedic period and even much later, they did turn it both inwards and outwards. That is how they discovered such wonderful things which included plastic surgery, an elaborate pharmacopeia, warcraft and deadly weapons, principles of politics and administration, rules of mathematics and chemistry, linguistics and …

Sir, is whatever happens with us is always for our best? 🙏🏻🌼

The Mother has given a very beautiful and complete answer to this.

‘Is it really the best that always happens?… It is clear that all that has happened had to happen: it could not be otherwise—by the universal determinism it had to happen. But we can say so only after it has happened, not before. For the problem of the very best that can happen is an individual problem, whether the individual be a nation or a single human being; and all depends upon the personal attitude. If, in the presence of circumstances…
