AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Now a days to settle after complete of study is a very much difficult mission to the youths. Some spend 5 yr 6 yr in their preparation by staying outside the home & afraid of going to their home that my villagers & relatives would ask one question (what are you doing? Not yet settled?) May you give some tips Sir??💼💻👔📋

I have listened one of your Youtube talks that 2 candidates are selected that who has done hard work & that child who has a complete faith upon divine like Prahlad. Is that really possible without hard work only rely upon divine mother one would able to crack a govt job?. Kindly guide me sir..I know Divine mother can do every impossible mission. It is her left hand game( bayen hath ka khel/ ek chutki me wo kar sakte hen). Still how it works; In what term & condition mother’s grace work? In my case going to every exam I put my admit card on the samadhi…but….not yet get any govt. Job & in the preparation line I have already spent 3 yrs.

There are two misconceptions here. First is that the work I want to do is the work meant for me. Second is that if I pray, the Divine will give me whatever I want because She is omnipotent.

The true way is to feel one’s swabhav and look for a work that is in consonance with our Swadharma. What corrupts the process is chase for money and ambition for power, position etc (government job as you say). Secondly if you really trust the Divine completely like Prahlad and live for the Divine then surely He will take care of all your physical, material, emotional and other needs. But that does not mean She will ensure a plush government post for me. In fact if that is a calculation that enters into bhakti, then it is no more Prahlad but only the mask of Prahlad.

Will it mean putting no effort? Well, there is no such thing as that. Even bhakti and surrender require tremendous inner effort. Effort is part of our evolutionary necessity. There is a good amount of spiritual justification for it. Even if everything fails, one must put in effort because without it we do not progress. Passing and failing, becoming rich or poor may be of great importance to us but it is not of so much value to the Divine Wisdom that sees things differently. Often it takes us through hardships as with the Pandavas because thus alone can we rise to true greatness.

And for this one must shun all fear including fear of what people may say. Read the lives of those who really rose to something in their life. Those who are afraid of social situations and want approval from others have to go a long way still before they can even conceive of Prahlad who cared for nothing and nobody except his lord Hari.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Hello Da, I had once read writings by Sri Aurobindo and the Mother in which they described Winston Churchill as a vessel and vital instrument of the Divine during World War II, opposing the “dark Asuric force” represented by Hitler. They also expressed support for Churchill during the war against the Axis powers. 🤔🪖🌾🌾[…]

To justify one’s actions because of your background is, what I term as the Karna syndrome. Both karna and Arjuna had difficult harsh childhood. But one ended up becoming an instrument of the Asura while other an instrument of the Divine…

If Supramental’s manifestation upon Earth will bring major changes to human consciousness and the human body, what effect will it have on all terrestrial creation on Earth, e.g., vegetation and animals? And how does it affect the ‘Gods’; will they eventually merge with the Supreme, i.e., lose their separate identity? 😊🙏🏻🪷🌌[…]

Yes, just as man’s coming had a direct and indirect effect upon the earth and its creatures as well as the gods, so too the supramental manifestation will have / is already influencing the terrestrial consciousness. It is doing so ….

Is eating milk and white bread for breakfast with a dash of sugar a bad thing? Modern food guidelines are making too much of white bread and sugar. They have almost declared them as human toxins, to the point of cutting some food sources completely from one’s diet. And I believe in eating everything in moderation. Where is the truth behind such regulations? 🥛🐄🥗🤔

Cow Milk has been the staple diet of many Indians through generations. It is also regularly provided in the Ashram Dining Room. Chemically it comes closest to the Mother’s milk and emotionally, the cow comes close to …
