AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

During death lot of vital energy is released out of the body. Apana Vata is known as Breath of death. Is it through Apana that Vital energy goes out or any other way. Plz tell me. I have purchased your book on Death Dying and Beyond. Yet to read πŸ‚πŸ•ŠοΈπŸͺ«πŸ”₯

The movement of vital energy in the subtle body is fivefold. There are two upward currents that provide energy for thought, spiritual asension and speech, two lower currents that provide energy to ambition, sexual reproduction and the basic needs of the body. There is a faith balancing movement that is engaged in supplying energy for harmonising the lower and the higher as well as circulating it throughout the system through the dynamic pulsations of the heart.

To pass through the downward movement first that draws all the others is an inferior mode of departure. The prefered exit is either through the heart or through the head. But it is rare. Most pass through the lower movement of prana, Apana vayu.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
