AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Sometimes we dislike the people in our family. I think I already told you – issues with my brother – jealous of me – envious – I was more intelligent than him at work. More liked by all. Threw me out. Doesn’t want me there. My mother supported him. They gave my father the idea that I should marry not work. Fear. How to get over the hurt and pain?💥🗣️😤🧱💔

I was an academically brilliant girl. School and college topper. Wanted to do aerospace engineering. Had my own startup. Dreamt of a big business thing. But because of all this got into spirituality. Faced a huge identity crisis. They complained against my nature constantly. Called me dominating. Yelled and shouted at me. Tried to suppress, control me. Make me live under his shadow. Showed the world was doing a lot for me but at home it was ugly in a manipulative lying misleading way. I was innocent naive. Didn’t get it. I did truly love and care for him.

The negative feeling in my heart of being betrayed, my trust broken. How to look at the world without suspicion and just breathe, live freely again.

Also will i get what I deserve. Will life show up in a happy positive light and a better environment.

We get in life what is best for our progress. The forces of destiny do not work to satisfy our wishes or to fulfil our desires but to help us become more conscious and progress. As to what we deserve it is difficult to say. Whatever we have received, intelligence and all is a gift from Nature. Nothing belongs to us. In fact the sign of intelligence is that one is able to carve one’s own path even if not a single person supports us. Anyone can do well in life supported by family and society. But the real worth and value of a person lies in one’s ability to stand alone and make it even if there is none to support. Perhaps that is what destiny wants you to become, to test you and make you pure gold. It is upto you to take the opportunity or to end up complaining about what life didn’t give.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Alok da, one increasingly concerning trend that one’s observing in indian society right now is there’s a feverish tendency to inquire about one’s range of earnings. The moment the so-called elders meet a young man who’s just into two to three years of graduation, the very first question they ask is “What’s your Package?”. 👴🏼👨🏼‍💼💼🏢🥀[…]

It is not Darwinism but copy-catism if one wants to coin a word. The reason however is twofold. Partly it is due to the strong awakening of Rajas in a society that was, for a rather long time oppressed, supressed and made to feel low, in one word tamas. This is a resurgence of excessive rajas which will sooner or later stabilise and, given the …
