AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Is it entirely a coincidence that Sri Krishna reveals His Vishwaroop in the Gita, and on that, after millennia, Sri Aurobindo writes such visceral chapters on this Aspect of Sri Krishna’s Vision of the World Spirit as Time, the Destroyer, at a particular historical juncture? 🦚🪶💥[…]

The man Oppenheimer who is instrumental in the Nuclear programme is also influenced by this Aspect of Sri Krishna, because I don’t know if any previous commentator of the Gita, throughout History, has brought this Aspect of Sri Krishna, like Sri Aurobindo did and the time period of all this happening is when a modern Kurukshetra is being wages for the possession of the Planet when Sri Aurobindo is present physically along with the Mother.

Yes, absolutely true. I have read most of the major commentaries on the Gita, but nowhere one finds such a lucid description and the deeper significance of the Viswaroopa as in Essays on the Gita. The Divine as the Time Spirit coming at the juncture of the transition of an Age, the massive deluge of destruction, the remembrance of this vision by the inventor of the Atomic bomb and most interestingly, Sri Aurobindo’s remarks and Nolini da’s article on the atomic bomb are like pieces of a single jigsaw puzzle, as you rightly point out. This becomes even more significant when we know the intimate relationship of Sri Aurobindo and Sri Krishna, all indicating the transition of an Age.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

It will depend upon the mantra as well as the wish, desire or aspiration, as it may be, in the heart of the sadhak. There are mantras that do grant material happiness as well as wisdom. So it is perfectly possible to get these benefits through specific mantras. At the …

Respected Alok da, when you realised Maa is everything and in everything. Then, if you go for Puja Rituals like Brata-Upabasha according to Hindu Dharma (you see Mother in every Gods), then is that insincerity to Maa? Should I do it or not? 🙄🙏🏻👨🏻‍👩🏻‍👧🏻‍👦🏻🛕🌸

As far as I am concerned everything else dropped naturally, effortlessly. I was anyways not much into rituals and knew that many of these things are aadambar and have little to do with Hindu Dharma. Neither the Gita nor the…
