AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

After that revelation whatever fadings of the light, whatever periods of darkness may afflict the soul, it can never irretrievably lose what it has once held. The experience is inevitably renewed and must become more frequent till it is constant; when and how soon depends on the devotion and persistence with which we insist on the path and besiege by our will or our love the hidden Deity. Dada please explain the paragraph clearly and if one has realised then how he lose the contact. Is it only happen in Integral Yoga or even traditional yoga also?🌱🦋☀️💠🪷

In all Yogas, the first step is to break open the circle of Ignorance in which our self is trapped. It is like a bird coming out of the prison. Though the veil might partially close again, the door once opened cannot be fully closed. In fact the psychic being once tasting the joy of escape tends to draw in that direction again and again. The Deity whom one worshipped from afar suddenly draws close and we naturally tend to spend more and more time in company with the Divine rather than of the world. Once one tastes the Peace and Joy of the Divine, all other joys and pleasures begin to fade away. Thus slowly but surely one grows more and more in union with the Divine. Once this contact is established definitively one doesn’t lose it. It is just that one enters the field of Nature, especially in the Integral Yoga, to change and align them to the Divine Will. This takes time. But the basic experience and the sense of the new identity found in the Divine is never lost. The difference is as when a prince has forgotten or knows not his real identity and is moving on the roads, lost and alone. On the other hand, the same prison now knows himself, walks on the roads, faces the challenges but always knows who he is.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Dear Alok Ji, can you please tell me how I can get rid of my anger at Sri Aurobindo and also how to regain trust in him? 🙏🏻💗

Trust is a very precious, priceless gift. Even among human beings it is special. But when it is towards the Divine then it should be doubly carefully guarded.

Again anger is an extremely harmful emotion towards anyone. It hurts and harms both, the one who harbours it and the one towards whom it is directed. But since one cannot harm or hurt the Divine Beings, it falls back upon oneself creating a terrible karma. By all means desist it. It is the straight road to fall…

At one end, aspiration for the Divine and to unite with Him and to have a change of consciousness; to do The Mother’s work; at the other end, need for a proper awareness in the very ordinary and externalised human nature about the deep meaning and implication of what is happening in life and also what the Divine Destiny is. 🌱🙏🏻[…]

It is much better to catch the knot of life at the other end from where it all begins. The riddle of life cannot be understood on the surface. Focus on the one thing needful, the Divine, and all the rest will begin to fall in its place. This has been the experience of all who have gone on the path.

I am reading the Synthesis of Yoga and Sri Aurobindo is speaking about the union having a threefold character (pg. 131). I wanted to understand whether this is a skilful parallel to draw: a union by identity = Atman = Brahman 📖🌟🙏🏻 […]

Here is the passage from the Synthesis of Yoga to which you are referring.

‘That which is thus made manifest to our vision and experience, and the union has a threefold character. There is a union in spiritual essence, by identity; there is a union by the indwelling of our soul in this highest Being and Consciousness; there is a
