I feel this habit is bad because I know I have the potential to do much better, but I am not using it fully.
One big and horrible distraction for me is my phone. I waste a lot of time on it, especially YouTube. The worst part is that it has now become part of my daily routine. Whenever I finish some good work or feel bored, I automatically start using my phone. I am trying to improve, but I struggle with this habit. Please guide me on what I should do.
You need to discover your passion, that unique something which draws you naturally and go deeper and deeper into it. Also try to find different things that engage you. Regular physical exercises and music also reduce boredom and urge to go to the phone.
Fix a time for the phone and resist all urge to pick up the phone at other times. One has to use the will and preoccupy oneself meaningfully for progress or learning new languages instead of only studies.
