There are two ways of doing it. The better way is to forcibly stay in some place where smoking is not allowed or drop it suddenly and completely. There will be a bit of craving and agitation. Manage it by remaining very busy and playing some game or exercise. If the urge grows strong put a chewing gum or a toffee. There are also nicotine patch but that needs to be given by the physician.
The second way is to wean off two every 3 or 4 days until it is reduced to 2 to 3 a day. Then do it suddenly.
Either ways, pray to the Divine Mother and seek her help. Deep relaxation and the practice of Asanas and Shavasana, chanting of Pranava mantra (Omkar) also helps. Most important is to stay busy and do exercises.
