The Mother loved the Rose that means ‘tender love for the Divine.’ Here is what She said about it.
‘I wanted to take this little rose (‘Tenderness for the Divine’), for I consider it to be the manifestation nearest to divine Love. It’s disinterested, spontaneous, intimate.
This is what I wanted to take with me to my super-heaven, as the most precious thing in the human heart.’

But one must draw such conclusions about The Mother and Sri Aurobindo based on some incidents and utterances. All flowers are special to them, each in its own way.
Most importantly, the flower that represents The Mother is the White Lotus and the one that represents Sri Aurobindo is the Red Lotus. So we can say that the Lotus is closest to them, as it represents their occult truth.
