I generally advise reading Sri Aurobindo’s Letters on Yoga, a few letters at a time each day. It gives the needed intellectual understanding of higher and deeper spiritual things as well as the practical side of the Yoga.
Along with the Letters, read Sri Aurobindo’s volume on The Mother with letters on The Mother.
Read simultaneously The Mother’s writings, on Prayers and Meditations as well as Volume 3 on Conversations with The Mother (1929 to 1931)
Once one has dipped a little deeper, then one can get onto reading Savitri, a page or so every day.
‘Savitri’ and ‘Prayers and Meditations’ are books that should be included as part of one’s daily meditation and quiet contemplation after the reading.
All these books are available online on Auromaa as well as through SABDA website.
Affectionately,
Alok Da
