AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I am currently reading Champaklal Speaks. I feel that, after Hanuman ji, Champaklal received the rare blessing of constant service and nitya-sanga of the Lord. The way Sri Aurobindo and the Mother loved him—their grace towards him seemed truly infinite; “jasu kripa nahi kripa aghati”. 📖🙏🏻🌼 […]

He represents pure devotion. It feels as if no one else had the same closeness and intimacy with them; even Hanuman ji seems behind him in this regard. The smiles, gestures, and laughter they shared with him reveal something very deep and personal. Champaklal was serving Sri Aurobindo—the Himalaya—and the Mother—the Ganga. Sometimes I feel he was Sri Aurobindo’s spiritual son. Please share your thoughts about Champaklal. I have become a fan of him.

He was indeed Their son who served Them as Hanuman did, keeping a vigil all through. There is a talk of mine on Champaklal ji, in fact on some of the close disciples such as Nolinida, Nirod da, Pavitra da, Pranab da, Dyuman bhai, Dilip Kumar Roy, Sahana di and others on Auromaa. I had some very interesting meetings with Champaklal ji, which must be there somewhere on Auromaa. Maybe you should read Visions of Champaklal to have a glimpse of the yogi in him.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
