AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Today I had a remarkable dream. I felt that something profoundly spiritual had happened to India. It seemed that Mother India, the Divine Feminine Power, had become firmly established in the nation, and that a deep realization had awakened in the collective consciousness of the country. 🗺️😊🙏🏻🪷🌄[…]

I saw Mother Bharati in the form of the famous painting by Abanindranath Tagore, but she was alive. Clad in saffron robes, serene and ascetic in appearance, she possessed four arms and was surrounded by a luminous halo. Her presence was calm, compassionate, sacred, and radiant. I felt immense joy, felicity, and bhakti toward her.

I also saw a woman who seemed to embody an anti-India force. She resembled Alakshmi, wearing soiled clothes and surrounded by a dark aura. Her face reflected both anger and sorrow. She appeared to know that her time had come—that she no longer had any role, influence, or power over the nation. She did not speak; she simply stared at me.

The sequence of events is now unclear, and I have forgotten many details, but these images remain vivid in my memory.

Toward the end of the dream, something happened to me and I became a small child, almost a toddler. My family members picked me up, held me in their laps, and played with me. I felt completely content, peaceful, secure, and joyful.

This is not just a dream but a dream vision. It is true to the details. Yes, Mother India is rising to reclaim Her Glory and redeem the world. The other woman is clearly the anti-divine forces whose time has come. They are angry at the rise of India’s glory and know that their hour has come.

The child is your psychic being that must have seen this profound vision. The parents are the old consciousness celebrating the psychic emergence.

Beautiful Grace.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

I read this little passage from The Mother. I want to know whether Sri Aurobindo is talking about Radha or the Hladini Shakti here. If not, who is the Power of the Mother mentioned here?: 📖😊🙏🏻🌄🌼[…]

Fortunately this question was asked to Sri Aurobindo though in different words. We have a clear, concise and complete answer from him on this issue. The letter is as quoted below.

‘In the Chandi the names of the four Cosmic Powers of the Mother—Maheshwari, Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, Mahasaraswati—are mentioned along with others, but the name Radha is not mentioned. This is a clear proof of the fact that when the Chandi was composed the Radha-Power was not manifested to the vision of the saints and that the Chandi mentions…

In her prayer of May 17, 1914, Mother writes, “One day thou wilt be my head but for the moment turn thy gaze towards the earth.” When a disciple enquired what the phrase “thou wilt be my head” means, She answered that “The head is the original conceiving Consciousness. “Could you simplify the meaning of all this a little further for me? 📖😊🙏🏻🌼

Head is the hub that conceives whereas heart is the hub that impels towards action.

What the Mother seems to be experiencing here, in this prayer, is to withdraw from everything including all action. She wants to be completely one with the pure Consciousness in its origin. But the command for her is…
