So many things I could understand are there in me and happened to me, came to know by reading Their Books, and except to pray to Them for liberation from all these nd to gain right consciousness nd right approach towards everything, I couldn’t do much so far and they keep coming to mind for getting resolved, all this amidst routine office going, getting engaged in it, the best part of my life.
Although I find your replies quite to the point, as light as required about certain things, I still need to settle down, know who I am as one clear identity with a direction and purpose, to take the Path to put effort and keep moving forward and higher. Sometimes I feel I don’t belong here. And sometimes I feel… I belong to the Divine alone; I don’t want to belong to anybody or anything else, which I first felt in my early 20s in the early 1990s.
Who am I, where did I come from, what am I supposed to do here, and what is my way here? Why don’t I understand or connect things? Apart from ordinary human nature, these are the things that keep occurring in me. Whom should I approach for all this?? I felt Mother and Sri Aurobindo did answer my prayers for someone who could help me… when I began to listen to your videos nd now through these mails… hoping to find answers. Here is a letter of Sri Aurobindo that gives us the secret of the change.
‘AllĀ canĀ beĀ doneĀ by the Divine, the heart and nature purified, the inner consciousness awakened, the veils removed, if one gives oneself to the Divine with trust and confidenceāand even if oneĀ cannot do so fully at once, yet the more one does so, the more the inner help and guidance comes and the contact and the experience of the Divine grows within. If the questioning mindĀ becomes less active and humility and the will to surrender grow in you, this ought toĀ beĀ perfectly possible. No other strength and tapasya are then needed, but this alone.’

Our human mind looking at the surfaces, gets easily discouraged and confused. But the surfaces of life are like the old skin being sloughed out. But if you want to know the future, then one has to focus on one’s core aspiration, the faith and will-to-be. Keep the faith and aspiration; let it quietly or swiftly by offering all your actions, desires, thoughts and emotions into it. All these movements that seem to grip our nature as it struggles with tendencies born of ignorance will be washed away and transformed into pearls of beauty and strength. All who have taken this approach of trust and surrender to the Divine Mother will testify to this truth. It is, in fact a subtle truth of life that whatever we pay attention to tends to increase as if inflated by the importance we give to it. Instead, give importance and attention to what you aspire to be and you will see all these things that seem like mountains crumble like a heap of dust or hills of wax that melt in the fire of aspiration and love for Her.Ā
Keep reminding yourself that you are The Mother’s child who are here to fulfil Her Will in you and be what She would want you to be. All the rest has little or no importance beyond maintaining the outer framework of life.
