AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Due to repeated failure in something related to the body, my mind and vital has taken a pessimistic approach of repeating that something or the other will go wrong. I want to develop a positive attitude in the body, mind and vital. Can you please suggest some affirmations that I can practise writing and repeating every day? ๐Ÿ˜ฅ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿฆ‹

Read books and lives of human beings who refused to give up, who turned every failure into a new learning and a step towards eventual success. Read the stories of heroes and their sacrifices, of great goals and mighty efforts. Success and failures are not measured by exams and job selections. To fulfil what we were meant to be is true success.ย

You may repeat the following affirmations.

‘I am a child of The Divine Mother, I cannot fail.’

‘I will rise every time I fall. The Mother’s Grace is with me and I trust She will pull me through everything.’

‘The experiences, the successes and failures on the way are not our fate. The road to the goal I chose is my fate.’

‘I am not here to compare and prove myself to anyone. I am here to do what I am made for, to fulfil God’s Will in me.’

‘There is nothing impossible provided we know how to keep faith and persevere.’

Affectionately

Alok Da

A few months ago, I felt my practice of Integral Yoga had become overly mental and habitualโ€”gathering concepts rather than living the sadhanaโ€”so I stepped away and followed a structured traditional discipline involving mantra-japa. ๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ[…]

The sadhana once begun never really stops. Yes one encounters temporary halts, – almost everyone goes through these phases, but that is because we need to assimilate the gains of the sadhana. Often our outer nature may not even recognise. Yet one has received something but more is not coming in either because the container is small …

Dear Alok da, thank youโ€”the lines from Sri Aurobindo in your email helped immensely, and while old holds haven’t entirely left, they feel looser. I find myself happier in solitude, as outer interactions easily muddle my poise, while an intense inner longing to remain anchored to the Mother, Sri Aurobindo, and Sri Krishna continues to grow. ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ[…]
