I read somewhere else that Mother had said that it was about her time. Yes, this time is tough, and money is in the wrong hands and difficult to earn. I had read something like this. She also said that money doesn’t belong to anyone but the divine and should be utilized for divine work. Does money belong to Mother Lakshmi or Maha Lakshmi? As in Hinduism, we worship Goddess Lakshmi for wealth and on Diwali as well. Also, in the Gita, Lord Shri Krishna says that without Him not even a leaf can move. Then how does money go to demons and Nagas, even in such large quantities? Who truly governs wealth?
The Gita speaks of the struggle between the forces of the daivi order and the asuric type. Yes, eventually the Divine Will prevails and wins the victory, but before that the struggle and the conflict are there.
The wealth goes into the hands of the Asuras because humans, the earthly representatives, are easily attracted towards the Asuric tendencies. It is we who feed the Asuras and misuse the wealth for selfish asuric ends.
Mahalakshmi is the goddess of harmony, beauty and love. Money is only a force of the vital plane that uses material objects for vital interchange. It can serve divine ends by creating beauty in outer life. Mahalakshmi builds the beauty of inner life and enriches it with inner prosperity of godlike qualities.
Outer wealth is governed by Kubera, who is a Yaksha on the vital plane. It is snatched by the Asuras of the vital world, as is mentioned in the Ramayana. The result is that Rama and Sita lose the kingdom while the Asura enjoys the golden-domed Lanka! It has to be won back from the Asura, as we see in the Ramayana and the Mahabharata also, as a side story at least.
Lakshmi ji shapes our inner being so that we deserve this wealth by an increasing inner beauty, harmony and love.
