Marriage as an institution, is largely built around the sexual needs and the desire for progeny. Whatever be its higher proposed aspects this is the main driving motive, dignified as extending the family, having a companion, for the sake of society etc. In truth it is a failed or collapsing institution, especially with a life increasingly centered around money than around love or higher values. It is best not to rush into it. Living alone is better than living with someone only for social approval or some fleeting physical vital pleasures or even vital emotional interchanges. Of course to live alone requires a certain inner strength and only the person making the choice can best know it.
