AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Alok da this is problem with many parents not just us end of the day me and my husband are exhausted but our son is full of energy. He just does not want to sleep though we have a bed time but he keeps on delaying it and he just does not get tired in spite of him doing sports and going to school… so we are sleep deprived due to this situation. What should we do😥?

Yes children are full of energy and they absorb a lot of energy from everything around them. It needs to be channelised as well as disciplined. Channelisation is through sports, studies, creative hobbies, more and diverse the better.

Disciplining is by having a fixed time for bed. At that time, the lights are switched off regardless and even if the child is trying to be awake, the parents should get into bed as if sleeping. It is a question of doing something regularly at a fixed time. After a while it gets into the child’s system.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

All the inner things that I am giving you all the time, all the strength, light, energy and life that are being poured into you all the time, are meant for the service of the Divine, for the sake of transforming you. If you use them for any other purpose, you are a robber and your crime is the worst possible.” ~ The Mother (CWM 13:183)

It means that all the capacities that we have, – physical, vital, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, should be offered at the Feet of the Divine for His Work and Service. Most of the time however we take these capacities to be …
