In complete agreement with your observation. As to the reason, it is partly due to the relatively short life span that we lead compared to what we wish to achieve. But more importantly seeing others mistakes and advising them is one of the ways of avoiding to see our own. Anyone who has worked upon oneself knows how difficult it is to get rid of one’s own defects or even to see it honestly.
