AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Pranam Alok Da. Mentally, I find Sri Aurobindo and the Mother to be complete in all aspects. Still, during meditation, I find it easier to meditate on Sri Ramakrishna than Sri Aurobindo or the Mother. Maybe I find Sri Ramakrishna more approachable when reading the gospel, and I see Sri Aurobindo as God, too tall, as described in Savitri, where some people find Savitri too high! Does it affect my yoga, or is it okay to continue like this? πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ»πŸͺ·

Yoga doesn’t move along one fixed line valid for all. The inherent complexity of nature and the vastness of the Divine Consciousness cannot be straitjacketed along a narrow and fixed process. A great degree of freedom and plasticity is needed in the spiritual evolution, of which the most important first step is spiritual conversion and discovery of the psychic being. Whatever helps that process is fine. I am sure that with the growth of aspiration, Sri Ramakrishna himself will take you to Sri Aurobindo.Β

Affectionately,

Alok Da
