AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Sri Aurobindo writes, “The evolution has a purpose, but it is a purpose in a circle. It is not a straight line or other figure of progression from the not to the is, from the less to the more.” – What do you mean by the purpose of evolution is a circle? Does it repeat itself? Does it go up and again come down? Please clarify what Sri Aurobindo means by that? 🌀🌄💖🌻

He speaks of Cyclic nature of creation and not circular. What it means is that creation advances upto a point and when it is unable to go past a certain limit, it returns back and then picks up again. The return is because something was ignored, neglected, or left behind in the process of advancement. Hence, it returns to attend to that aspect and rectify it to the extent possible. However, each return and each advance is higher than the previous cycle. The cycles are the four yugas. Thus, each Satyuga is slightly higher than the previous Satyuga. Similarly, each Kaliyuga is a little better than the previous one.

A similar thing takes place as one moves from one life to another. The soul may advance, but the mind may not. Or the soul, mind and even the heart may advance, but life and the body are unable to keep peace. Hence, death intervenes and passing through the dissolution of the body, one starts the cycle of a new life. However, each birth is slightly better (in terms of consciousness), an advancement over the previous one.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

I was reading lines of Savitri and the Mother’s Prayer, tears flowed, my centre shifted to Heart(effortlessly), I felt the absorption of the Consciousness, my breath rate increased, I couldn’t hold myself for a while. 📖🥲🥹❤️‍🔥🌼[…]

Grief is a state of intense concentration and can, if the consciousness makes just a little shift open the doors the Divine. As the Mother beautifully reveals….

Last Night I had a Dream/Vision. I saw a dock, I think it was somewhere in Europe. and it looked old, centuries old. Someone threw me overboard, and I died. I can still see the whole thing! Then I saw sometime before that, also, I had died by drowning. And in this life, I cannot swim! But what I saw, was it a Past Life or just a Dream? 🏊🏼‍♂️🌊😰🦋

In all likelihood, it is an experience of your past life that is still unresolved fully. Offer the dream in all its details to the Divine Mother so that its impact is wiped off completely from your soul.
