AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I’ve been reading a lot of Sri Aurobindo’s writings, but they are a mental influence on my mind level. I haven’t felt the Mother’s Grace or Mother’s Force at all. πŸ™„πŸ™πŸ»πŸŒ·πŸŒ„[…]

Now, granted, feeling the Mother’s Force or becoming conscious of the Inner Being will take a lot of time and Aspiration, how do I know that Sri Aurobindo & the Mother are not just my Mental Idea of a Guru but something More?

It is not about feeling their Presence or the Force, etc., as for most, that takes time.

The important factor is whether one has the Call for the Path, an aspiration for the Divine, or it is yet only a mental seeking.

The ‘Call’ implies an imperative need for the Divine, a spontaneous living faith in the Mother and Sri Aurobindo, in the truths they reveal and the goal they propose. If that is present, then one is on the path already and will receive the response and the guidance. If not, then one should continue with the mental seeking, taking intellectual interest until the fire of aspiration is ignited.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
