AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Dear Alok da our 11 year is having troubles at school, he feels really bad as he is now been picked by the other boys in the school for projects and then the teacher put him with girls, as parents what can we do to help him🤨?

One of the things one learns in school is to adapt to different and often difficult situations. It is not about gathering information for which children go to school but to learn about life as well. They have to be explained about how life is about progress through every situation and the progress comes by widening and by cultivating the capacity to bear, adapt and eventually master and turn the challenge to our advantage. Though the girl boy distinction becomes prominent at their age, they need to understand that the distinction is mainly biological. Most of these issues get past as they grow up and not much attention is given to them. However it may be helpful sometimes to discuss with the teachers and share with them the impact of their decision on the child.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

I am not speaking merely of physical things. All the inner things that I am giving you all the time, all the strength, light, energy and life that are being poured into you all the time, are meant for the service of the Divine, for the sake of transforming you. If you use them for any other purpose, you are a robber and your crime is the worst possible.” ~ The Mother (CWM 13:183)

It means that all the capacities that we have, – physical, vital, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, should be offered at the Feet of the Divine for His Work and Service. Most of the time however we take these capacities to be …
