AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Dear Alok da, Sri Aurobindo has left Ilion at an interesting juncture, when Achilles and Penthesilea meet each other..I want to read what happens next. Would you please suggest some references/authors to read in English(though it might not have the rasa as Ilion:( )?๐ŸŒ€โœจ๐Ÿ‘ธโš”๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ

You can read the prose translation of the original epic of Homer, The Iliad, and, The Odyssey. Both are wonderful books. The original is in Greek poetry which will only end up justifying the phrase ‘it is all Roman and Greek’. Of course nothing can even remotely compare to Sri Aurobindoโ€™s Ilion. But as stories / novel I had found both very interesting.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
