AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Dear Sir, today I had my first experiment with the spiritual act of offering to the Mother. ๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ […]

Recently, an erratic lower vital wave rose below my navel, triggering old desires that mental reasoning and active resistance failed to subdue. On the verge of being overwhelmed, I ceased struggling with personal willpower, focused on my heart center, and offered my entire being to the Motherโ€™s presence. In a split second, the disturbing movements completely dissolvedโ€”could you please explain the inner mechanism of how this sincere self-offering instantly neutralizes lower nature where mental effort fails?

The magic worked instantly because you did try and then, at a point where the limitations of personal effort appeared, you surrendered to the Mother. This is the key. Not a tamasic surrender nor personal will alone, but to strive rightly and offer to the Mother is the perfect way. The personal will prepares the ground for the Divine Working. The Grace can then fulfill with much ease.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

All that we will have to do then is to turn towards Him …

The difference between thought and action is a most common difficulty. Its reason is not that the physical mind gets into an obsessive mode. It creates difficulty in decision, an indecisiveness because the mind wants to know with certainty that the decision is correct and the action will bring the desired results.
