Souls are absorbed in the psychic world to assimilate their experiences of the previous life and prepare for the future. When this assimilation is over and they are ready and impelled for the next birth, it is then that they project something of themselves into the earth to feel for and reach out to the place where they should enter for the new adventure. But apart from that, once they depart and transit from the vital world, they have little or nothing to do with their previous life. The details are gone; only the important essence remains. It is to assimilate and integrate this essence that the soul enters into a state of restorative sleep. When it wakes up, it is ready to return for the new adventure.
