AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

How to get peace in surface mind because the habits come again and again that destroy silence in mind?

It takes long and one has to persist.  Few things which will help are.

1. To step back before reacting to people or situations. Make it a habit not to act without reflection and in that little pause remember the Mother.

2. Whenever mind grows restless give it an interesting subject or work.

3. Stay busy and do lot of exercises to circulate the vital energies.

4. Stay away from activities that cause restlessness and excitement.

5. Call peace, calm, equanimity as often as you can until peace becomes your friend.

6. Analyse and reflect upon what causes restlessness and work upon those aspects.

7. Most importantly call Her as often as you can and ask for Her Grace.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

All the inner things that I am giving you all the time, all the strength, light, energy and life that are being poured into you all the time, are meant for the service of the Divine, for the sake of transforming you. If you use them for any other purpose, you are a robber and your crime is the worst possible.” ~ The Mother (CWM 13:183)

It means that all the capacities that we have, – physical, vital, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, should be offered at the Feet of the Divine for His Work and Service. Most of the time however we take these capacities to be …
