AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

I am 40 yet my mother criticizes me and taunts me all the time, I can’t answer back as she will throw a tantrum and yet I have to listen to her. I am tired of her complaints as no matter what I do is not enough for her, how can I handle her ? 

This relation is not healthy and the more you try to make her happy the worse it is likely to become. You have to learn to detach yourself decoupling your life from her apart from the duty that one owes towards parents so long as one is in the world and discover you own life, aims, interests beyond her.
