Still, I want to know whether it is possible for a gyani realized saint to release all the blockages of a person by shaktipath and the path of nondoership or Yogendra. I know somebody who, after getting initiation are undergoing spontaneous kriya and having intense experiences for 2 years and are very calm and happy. I don’t know why I have a skeptical view of them that they might be going in the wrong direction.
It is very much possible, but the effects are not due to the gyana alone. A wide, impersonal, calm inner state that can develop in a gyani is quite conducive to the flow of a higher consciousness. If the Divine Grace wants to work through such a person for whatever purposes, then it can very well use him as an instrument. It has little to do with the path he is following and more to do with the Divine Grace that has chosen him. Of course, a Vedantin does not generally acknowledge it. He feels it is he who has the Shakti, whereas it is the Shakti that is using him.
Having said that, these kinds of sudden miraculous experiences should be seen with caution. There are all kinds of Shakti that can wear the Divine disguise. That is why ancient teachings cautioned the sadhaks and even adviced to stay away from such activities. Especially sudden intense experiences without a preparatory purification are always suspect. Two years is nothing in spiritual life. One has to see if these things sustain and bring a real and lasting change. Of course, this caution is for those who are drawn towards this path. Those who have genuinely surrendered themselves to the Divine are carried safely.
Affectionately,
Alok Da
