Mind came out of the Supermind, the Maharloka or Vigyanamaya Kosha of the ancient Vedic terminology. In a very simple way, one can say that the principle of Mind as it operates in ignorance, Avidya, came out of the Divine Mind or Divine Gnosis, which operates on the basis of true Knowledge, Vidya.
